Ohio State is celebrating the 50th anniversary year of Griffin’s first Heisman in 1974, and OSU Marching Band’s sousaphone section invited Griffin to be the 15th non-band “i-dotter” in the 88-year history of the tradition. “Hang on Sloopy” is the State of Ohio official rock song and is played at the break between the third and fourth quarters at every Buckeyes’ home game.
