With a big smile, two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin (left) strides onto the Ohio Stadium turf with drum major Clayton Callender as the OSU Marching Band finishes “the incomparable Script Ohio” on the west side of the field during halftime of an Aug. 31 game vs. Akron. To honor the 50th anniversary of Griffin’s 1974 Heisman Trophy, sousaphone section members invited Griffin to be just the 15th non-band member to “dot the ‘i’” in the 88-year history of the band's tradition.
