12 event winners at Crawford Invite

NORTH ROBINSON — Area track and field athletes won 12 of the 34 events contested n Friday at the Colonel Crawford Bob Royer Invitational. The Willard girls scored 128 points to finish runner-up among 10 teams to Upper Sandusky, which totaled 142.5 points. South Central (88) was fourth, and Western Reserve (40) was sixth. On the boys side, Western (69) and Willard (46) finished in fifth and sixth place, respectively. Willard's Paige Adams again dominated the field events. She won the shot put (36 feet, 8 inches) and the discus throw (115 feet, 6 inches) for the Crimson Flashes. LaMya Hicks also won two events for Willard, claiming first in the 100-meter dash (12.7 seconds) and the long jump (17 feet, 5.75 inches). Also for Willard, Cora Clark won the high jump (five feet), while she and Hicks teamed with Mya Stephens and Emelia Tallman to win the 4x200 relay in 1:50. Jocelyn Maynard was second in the 110 hurdles in 17.3 seconds, and Kelly Hernandez Rojas was also second for Willard in the 3200 (13:05.6). The 4x400 relay of Kaylee Tenore, Helen Acosta Cerda, Stephens, and Ilina Detterman took second in 4:34.4. Placing fourth for Willard was Addy Martinus in the 300 hurdles (52.8), and the 4x800 relay team of Tenore, Cesiah Placido, Rosie Huerta, and Acosta Cerda in 11:51. For South Central, Emily Lamoreaux won the 100 hurdles (16.9), and Taylor Smith took first in the pole vault (10 feet). Autumn Fry was second in the 100 (13.1) and the discus throw (112 feet, 6 inches), and was fourth in the shot put (31 feet, 6.5 inches). She teamed with Lauren Ingram, Kaili Ingram, and Falynn Schumacher to place second in the 4x100 relay (53.3). Lauren Ingram was also third in the high jump (4 feet, 10 inches), while Schumacher was third in the pole vault (nine feet) and fourth in the 200 (27.9). Western Reserve's Kara Woodruff (2:28.2) in the 800 and Frankie Hoover (52.2) in the 300 hurdles each placed second. The two joined Ally Goebbel and Korissa Fraelich to place third in the 4x400 in 4:35.1. Imani Bizzell also placed fourth for Western in the discus (106 feet, 1 inch). On the boys side, another standout thrower also swept both events. Western Reserve's Hayden Keith won the shot put (55 feet, 5.5 inches) and the discus (164 feet, 11 inches). Also for Western, the 4x100 relay of Xzavian Meagrow, Chase Hipp, Dom Edwards, and Colton Meagrow placed second in 45.4 seconds. Travis French was third in the shot put (44 feet, 0.75 inches), and Hipp was fourth in the high jump (5 feet, 8 inches). Xzavian Meagrow in the 100 (11.8) and Colton Meagrow in the 200 (24.4) each placed fourth for the Roughriders. Willard's Jonas Tackett won the high jump by clearing six feet. Dream Mills was third in the 400 in 53.4 seconds. For Plymouth, Izaya Reynolds won the 400 in 50.1 seconds. Isaiah Miller was fourth in both the 110 hurdles (16.5) and the 300 hurdles (43.6). They both teamed with Jeric Tackett and Trevor Putt to place third in the 4x200 in 1:36.2. Reynolds, Miller, and Tackett teamed with Cainan Kilgore to place third in the 4x400 in 3:41.6. South Central's Lucas Smith placed fourth in the shot put (43 feet, 3.25 inches). St. Paul girls second at Mapleton ORANGE TWP. — The St. Paul girls placed second among 11 teams at the Mapleton Josh Olin Night Invitational on Friday at John E. Camp Stadium. The Flyers scored 101.6 points to finish runner-up to Wooster Triway's 111.5 points. On the boys side, New London was fifth, while Monroeville also competed to give the area three teams at the meet. St. Paul was led by freshman Deanna Vazquez, who won both the 200 (26.9) and 400 (1:02.9). Vazquez was also the anchor runner for the 4x200 with Kira Sandor, Brooklyn Cassidy, and Aubrie Bogard to place second (1:59.8), and the same for the 4x400 with Frances Donnelly, Bogard, and Amelia Stoll, also second in 4:29.7. Also placing first place for St. Paul was the 4x800 relay of Jenny Schwan, Donnelly, Kennedie Frazee, and Kate Ware in 11:10.4. Ware was second in the 3200 (13:42), as was Scarlett Ross in the 300 hurdles (53.6). The 4x100 of Aubrie Van Dresser, Cassidy, Stoll, and Sandor placed third in 54.9 seconds, and Bogard was fourth in the high jump (4 feet, 6 inches). For New London, Valery Henry won the 800 in 2:34.2, and Raeann Mitchell won the pole vault (10 feet). Both teamed with Hailey Crockett and Kira Waugaman to finish third in the 4x400 (4:34.9). For Monroeville, Payton Weilnau was second in the long jump (14 feet, 10.5 inches), and Kaylee Roeder was also second in the pole vault (8 feet, 6 inches). The 4x100 relay of Kara Gerber, Kiahna Smith, Sophia Stieber, and Lilly Stein took fourth in 55.9. Tate Mitchell placed first for the New London boys in the pole vault (12 feet, 7 inches), and he was third in the 110 hurdles (18.8). Carter Hicks was second in the 3200 in 10:09.1 and teamed with Garret Carruthers, Trace Landis, and Ryan Twining to finish second in the 4x800 in 8:47.6. Placing third for NL was Jayden Bracken in the pole vault (11 feet), while Jackson Mitchell was fourth in the long jump (17 feet, 5.5 inches). For St. Paul, Hudson Davis was second in the high jump (5 feet, 8 inches), while Rocco Rizzo was third in the discus (124 feet, 2.5 inches), and Adam Dowdell was fourth in the 800 (2:06.1). The 4x200 relay of Levi Rospert, Joey Alt, Wyatt Houser, and Nick Pocos placed third for the Flyers in 1:38.5. Norwalk at Titans Relays BEREA — The Truckers competed in the Division I-laden field at the 69th annual Berea Kiwanis Titans Relays at Baldwin Wallace University's George Finnie Stadium on Friday. Kinleigh Lesch placed third in the discus (116 feet, 6 inches) and eighth in the shot put (29 feet, 5 inches) for Norwalk. Placing fifth was the 4x400 relay of Alyssa Gruhlke, Saige Konik, Adyson Lepley, and Xavi Immel in 4:12.6. The distance medley relay (1600) of Immel, Gruhlke, Konik, and Olive Leavitt also placed fifth in 12:59.1. Finishing seventh was the 4x200 of Allison Rothhaar, Gruhlke, Lepley, and Immel in 1:51.7. Ariahna Platte was eighth in the 100 hurdles (18.2), and Libby Lark was ninth in the shot put (29 feet, 1.5 inches). The 800 medley relay of Sydney Moehlman, Madison Hessemer, Rothaar, and Olivia Ysaguirre also finished ninth in 2:03.4. The 1600 distance medley relay of Casey Kromer, Clay Heyman, Jake Bissell, and Alex Christophel placed eighth in 11:37.4. Finishing ninth was the 4x400 of Bissell, Derione Johnson, William Biller, and Noah Jameson in 3:36.9. Edison competes at Margaretta Invite CASTALIA — The Chargers competed among the 13 teams in the 60th annual running of the Margaretta Invitational on Friday. For the boys, Colin Butler was third in the 300 hurdles (42.5) and fourth in the 110 hurdles (16.6). Caleb Jeremay was third in the pole vault (11 feet, 6 inches). Trevor Leimeister was also fourth in the 200 (22.8), as was Kellen McDonnell in the 800 (2:06.4). Edison's 4x800 relay of McDonnell, William Corfman, Mason Leber, and Israyel Bellman finished fourth in 8:30.9. For the girls, Edison's Tessa Moore placed fourth in the high jump (4 feet, 4 inches).
