Norwalk, Bellevue split Lake dual

NORWALK — The Norwalk High School track and field program split an SBC Lake dual meet with visiting Bellevue on Tuesday at Contractors Stadium. The Truckers won the boys meet, 74-62, while Bellevue took the top score in the girls matchup, 91.5-44.5. Event winners for the Norwalk boys included Dylan Eggleston in both the 110-meter and 300 hurdles in 15.8 seconds and 44 seconds, respectively. Colby Ferguson won the 200 in 24 seconds, while Clay Heyman won the 800 in 2:12.4. In distance races, Alex Christophel won the 1600 in 4:58, while Jason Cruz Segovia won the 3200 in 11:13. Noah Jameson won the long jump with a top effort of 20 feet 9 inches. In relays, the 4x200 team of Anthony Hall, Jameson, William Biller, and Derione Johnson had the top time in 1:34.9. The 4x400 of Konnor Ruble, Tristan Biddinger, Hall, and Cullen Larson also won in 3:44. Lastly, the 4x800 distance relay of Casey Kromer, Owen Resor, Biddinger, and Cruz Segovia won in 9:30. For the NHS girls, Xavi Immel won the 400 (59.7), and the 4x200 relay of Allison Rothhaar, Olivia Ysaguirre, Alyssa Gruhlke, and Immel won in 1:51.8. In field events, Kinleigh Lesch won the discus throw (108 feet 6 inches), and Libby Lark won the shot put (34 feet, 8.75 inches). The Truckers return to the track on Friday afternoon at the 69th annual Berea Kiwanis Titans Relays held at Baldwin Wallace University's George Finnie Stadium.
