Norwalk falls, Edison wins in Monday tennis

LEXINGTON — The Norwalk boys tennis team fell to 5-4 overall after Monday's non-league loss to powerful Lexington. Jeremiah McCreary fell at first singles to Cooper Remi (6-0, 6-1), while Roman Snyder lost to Phil Eztel and Jacob Burger lost to Tony Palmer at second and third singles in sweeps (6-0, 6-0). At first singles, Edward Ramos and Jack Pittenger also fell in a sweep to Ben Wiltanger and Brighton Boerner. The No. 2 doubles team of Levi Dickerson and Carter Swick lost to Maddox Lamp and Jack Campbell (6-0, 6-1). The Truckers host Clyde on Tuesday and visit Sandusky on Thursday in SBC Lake matches. Norwalk will then host the SBC Lake tournament on Saturday. Edison 5, SJCC 0 The Chargers swept the Crimson Streaks to improve to 4-2 in SBC Bay Division play on Monday. At first and second singles, Adin Colbert and Kaden Mees posted identical sweeps (6-0, 6-0) over Max Xu and Sabrina Brust. Mary Moon dropped one game at third singles in a win over Keira Pan (6-1, 6-0). At first doubles, Wade Ruggles and Kellen Ritchie also swept Maddy Jividian and Gabbe Collins (6-0, 6-0). The No. 2 tandem of Jace Pinkston and Oz Rutger won by the same score over SJCC's Marko Maliavsky and Azeliya Macias (6-0, 6-0).
