Cloud pitches Edison past Willard

WILLARD — Edison pitcher Abby Cloud threw a six-inning no-hitter to lead the Chargers to a 15-1 win at Willard on Thursday in SBC Bay Division play on the turf at the Dean Ave. athletic complex. Cloud struck out six and helped her own cause with a double and two RBIs at the plate. Natalie Desautels had three hits, scored three runs, and drove in a run to lead Edison's 13-hit attack. Lariah McMinn also had three hits and scored two runs and drove in a run as the Chargers improved to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the SBC Bay. At third singles, Andrew Klett fell to Austin Eisenhauer (6-1, 6-0). In doubles, the first tandem of Edward Ramos and Jack Pittenger beat Sam Kinney and Konnor Smith (6-3, 6-1). At second doubles, Levi Dickerson and Carter Swick topped Lucas Niedernier and Zach Beatty (6-4, 6-0). The Truckers host their annual Norwalk Invitational on Saturday.
