Easter fun at 4-H club

NORTH FAIRFIELD — Classy Clovers 4-H hosted a meeting at the North Fairfield American Legion on March 29. This was an unofficial meeting. Each project-age kid teamed up with a clover bud, and they went to a station with Easter "minute to win it" games. There was a balloon egg race, Peep stacking, jelly bean sorting, jelly bean finding and an egg relay race where you had to use a spoon in your mouth to get 5 eggs into the basket before time runs out. At each station, each kid got tickets depending on how good or bad they did on that station. We used our tickets to purchase cool prizes like chalk, coloring books, frisbees, coloring supplies and candy. After that, the bigs and littles got into teams and hunted for their assigned egg color. There were many puzzle pieces inside. We put them all together and it was an Easter Bunny! After that, for dessert, we made dirt pudding. Finally, we had chicken nuggets and fries, and a bag of chips (or maybe two.) This was the closing of our meeting.
