Early voting starts today

NORWALK — Voters across Ohio can cast their vote in the May 5 primary beginning today. Absentee and in-person early voters in Huron County at the county board of elections office, 180 Milan Avenue, Suite 4, Norwalk. Here is a list of times to vote early at the Huron County Board of Elections: • April 7-10: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. • April 13-17: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. • April 20-24: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. • April 27: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. • April 28: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. • April 29 to May 1: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. • May 2: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. • May 3: 1-5 p.m. Other May election dates to know April • Monday: Deadline to register to vote. Boards of elections and the Ohio Secretary of State's office are open until 9 p.m. • Today: Absentee voting by mail begins • Today: Early in-person voting begins • April 28: Absentee ballot applications must be received by your board of elections by 8:30 p.m. May • May 5: Primary election day: Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. • May 5: Non-Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act absentee ballots must be received by your board of elections by 7:30 p.m. • May 9: Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act absentee ballots must be received (by mail) by boards of elections by this date to be counted.
