Tea and tiaras

NORWALK — Children ages 3-2 are invited to a themed afternoon of dress-up and activities at an upcoming event in Norwalk. Tea & Tiaras will take place from 2-4 p.m. on April 11 at the Norwalk Arts Center, 22 E. Main St. The event is organized by members of the Norwalk Arts Center Teen Association. "This is for all the little princesses and princes in the area to create a little magic with dress-up and to enjoy a tea party," said Meadow Burger, an organizer and board member of the teen association. Burger said she selected the theme to offer a child-focused event while also supporting the center's teen theater program. "I've been involved with Norwalk Arts Center for three years now," she said. "I have learned so much about myself and my abilities because of NAC. I have loved my time at NAC and hope to see new faces as we continue." Organizers said the event will include tea, snacks, games and craft-style activities. Children are encouraged to wear themed outfits. Activities will include photo opportunities with a king and queen, coloring stations, book walking and a small salon area offering hair styling, nail décor and face gems. Parents are encouraged to attend and take photos during the event. Admission is $15 per child, with a $30 cap per family. Registration is available through the Norwalk Arts Center Facebook page.
