Sally De Forest hosting fundraiser

BERLIN HEIGHTS — Get ready for a summer of patriotic activities that begin with making a beautiful red, white and blue door wreath. The Sally De Forest chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), is offering two wreath-making classes as part of its fundraiser to replace the headstone of its chapter's namesake. Choose from either Friday, May 1, at 11 a.m. or Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. We will meet at the Berlin Heights Community Complex Center, 12101 State Route 61, Berlin Heights. The site is just 15 minutes from Norwalk and is handicap accessible. The classes are open to the public, ages 16 and over. All materials will be supplied for you to create a wreath measuring about 27" across, on a two-tiered frame. Adornments, such as patriotic ribbons, flags, glittered Styrofoam and metal shapes will be provided. Feel free to bring your own special attachments.
