Students of the month named

Local Kiwanis and Elks organizations recently named their students of the month. Here are the students who were recognized, organized by the school district they attend: Norwalk Catholic St. Paul High School announced Scarlett Ross and Chloe Hazelwood as the March 2026 Kiwanis Students of the Month. Ross's activities, honors and achievements include: ACE Academic Award, National Honor Society, cross country, football manager, track, prom committee, homecoming court, class officer, Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister. Hazelwood's activities, honors and achievements include: National Honor Society, tennis, ACE Academic Award, student ambassador, liturgical committee, folk group, class officer, worship team, football cheer, basketball cheer, competition cheer, Kairos team, Belize Mission Trip, mock trial, model UN, academic challenge team, marching band and spring musicals. New London Norwalk Elks nominated Addison Lunsford as its February student of the month. The district posted about her recognition: Addison attended the (recent meeting) where she introduced herself and shared her plans for college after graduation. We are proud of the hard work and dedication she continues to show and are excited to see all she accomplishes in the future. Great job, Addison, and thank you to the Norwalk Elks for recognizing and supporting our students. Edison The Berlin Heights Kiwanis announced Christina Arnold as the March Student of the Month at Edison High School. Arnold's activities and achivements: Drama Club; Interact Club; Key Club; ASL Club officer; National Honor Society; Spanish Honor Society; Drama Club, received Outstanding Creativity Award and varsity letter; honor roll member; Student of the Quarter recipient; International Thespian Society; Kelleys Island Landowner's Society member, a non-profit charity for the betterment of Kelleys Island, and visual artist. She plans to study biology and earn a master's degree in genetic research and evolution.
