Interns excel in health careers program

NORWALK — Fisher-Titus recently congratulated its recent intern graduates of the health care organization's Intro to Health Careers Program. The graduates, in no particular order: Allyson Takacs, Bry Lopez, Dayana Morales, Grady Naseman, Lily Cuturic, Mercedes Moya, Mia Stover, Paige McFadden, Parker Friend and Sydney Englert. Abby Hoven, manager of Fisher-Titus' operating room, serves as the program's director. In this program, "Junior and senior high school students work with and shadow a variety of departments in the hospital as a way to help local students develop their talent and find their passion in health care," according to a health care organizational statement. "During their seven-month rotation at Fisher-Titus, our interns were able to learn from our expert staff in departments, such as the emergency department, Norwalk Memorial Home, obstetrics, billing and more." Toward the end of their rotations, interns could focus on their top three departments most interesting to them in hopes of gaining experience in these areas. "Upon completion of the program, students can take their knowledge to their future education or continue working at Fisher-Titus," the statement read. A banquet was held earlier this week, where families and loved ones gathered with our staff in celebration of the interns finishing their rotations.
