New tools for communication, discovery at Norwalk Public Library

NORWALK — The Norwalk Public Library is publicizing two new services available to its patrons. People visiting the library on West Main Street can now make use of a Translate Live device along with a new Newspaper Archive database, according to a release from the library. "These additions help us continue our mission of making information accessible, welcoming and useful for all members of our community," the release states. The library provided a breakdown of the new tools: Translate Live As the name suggests, the device offers live, real-time translations for two people speaking different languages. It works with more than 200 languages and supports various accents and dialects. "This service helps ensure every visitor can ask questions, get assistance, and participate fully in library services," the release states. "Patrons can access Translate Live through our dedicated devices during all open hours at service desks throughout the building." Newspaper Archive With a Norwalk Library card, people can make use of the Newspaper Archive service. It provides access to millions of digitized newspaper pages from across Ohio. "Whether you're researching family history, exploring local stories, or diving into historical events, this resource offers a powerful way to search, browse and learn," the release states. Library cardholders can access Newspaper Archive both from the library and at home.
