Huron County Right to Life hosts annual march

NORWALK — A group gathered Sunday afternoon for the annual North Coast Right to Life March, sponsored by Huron County Right to Life, according to a news release by the Knights of Columbus. The event began around 2:40 p.m. at the St. Paul Convocation Center. An opening prayer was offered, followed by brief remarks from Kevin Jorey, director of Life and Justice for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo, who spoke about the organization's mission and the topic of life issues. Following the remarks, participants walked from the Convocation Center to the Huron County Courthouse. The march was led by banners and members of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree honor guard, who were dressed in full ceremonial uniform. Upon reaching the courthouse, attendees recited the Pledge of Allegiance. A prayer was then offered, and the group sang "America the Beautiful." After the courthouse portion of the event concluded, participants returned on foot to the Convocation Center. The event concluded at the Convocation Center with a closing blessing. Hot chocolate and cookies were provided for attendees before the event ended.
