Western tops S.C. for FC win

COLLINS — The Western Reserve girls basketball team got back to the .500 mark overall and in the Firelands Conference with Thursday's 44-35 win over South Central. Western (8-8, 5-5) was led by Layken Barnhart with 15 points, while Maylee Wetzel added eight. The Trojans (4-13, 1-9) got 11 points from Kaili Ingram and eight from Emily Lamoreaux in the loss.
