Democrats host townhall

NORWALK — On Saturday, Firelands Indivisible and Great Lakes Good Trouble hosted a town hall meeting at the Milestone Event Center in Norwalk featuring candidates seeking to be the Democratic nominee for Ohio Attorney General, Ohio Secretary of State and Representative of Ohio's 5th District. Allison Russo, a candidate for Ohio Secretary of State, Daniel Burket, running for Ohio's 5th Congressional District, joined John J. Kulewicz and Elliot Forhan; both running for Ohio Attorney General, in making their pitch to Huron County voters and answering questions from concerned voters ahead of the primary election on May 5, 2026. The winners of the primary elections will go on to face the winners of the Republican primary election in the general election on Nov. 3, 2026. Audience questions focused on how national issues, such as immigration enforcement and how attacks by the United States on foreign countries would affect Ohioans and how the candidates would handle these topics at the state level.
