Davidson earns All-Great Lakes Region honors

Edison senior soccer and football standout Alex Davidson earned yet another honor recently. The 2025 United Soccer coaches released its Fall high school boys All-Great Lakes Region teams on Dec. 4, and Davison earned a spot on the list. The region includes players from Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Davidson was one of 57 midfielders honored. Davidson is also a two-time All-Ohio selection as well as a two-time SBC Most Outstanding Performer and a two-time district Player of the Year. The senior scored a school-record 60 goals this season and added 28 assists in helping the Chargers to their best season in program history. He finished his career with 101 career goals. Edison finished with an unbeaten regular season, and 19-1-1 overall. The Chargers won their first-ever district championship and went 10-0-1 in the SBC to share the league title with Perkins after the two teams tied on Sept. 29 in Milan. The regional honor came five days before Davison also earned All-Ohio third team honors in Div. V as a kicker for the Edison football team. He was 32-of-32 on extra points and 6-of-7 on field goals in 11 games for the Chargers (7-4).
