Outpouring of grief for North Fairfield woman

FAIRFIELD TWP. — People expressed shock and sadness at the passing of a North Fairfield woman who died in a Thursday traffic crash. Jina Kaiser, 38, was one of the drivers in a head-on collision in Fairfield Township on Thursday. Her Chevy Cruze went left of center and impacted a Toyota 4-Runner operated by a 35-year-old Willard woman. Kaiser was pronounced dead at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. Four others suffered injuries, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Their words More than two dozen people posted messages of loss and sorrow on social media: • "I'm hurt by this," said Kierston George. "Since the day I met Jina Kaiser she was like an older sister I never had." • "Rest in roses to my childhood friend Jina Kaiser," added Tiffany LaCourse. • "(Please) tell me this is a dream. This can't be real," said Mercedes Davis. • "Harsh reality hits me when I know my daughter is not going to call me and say dad it's a rumor about my aunt Jina Kaiser," added Daquane Johnson. • "Rest in Heaven, sister. You're definitely going to be missed," Ashley Taylor said. • "Jina Kaiser was my girl back in the day! My old neighbor," said Kayla Hanson. "The whole family is in my thoughts & prayers! I'm sorry this has happened." Fund established The family is seeking donations for Jina's funeral. A fund was established with the crowdsourcing website GoFundMe.com. "As I write this, I'm asking for help to lay my baby sister, Jina, to rest — only 38 years old, taken from us in a tragic car accident," said the fund's creator and Jina's sister, Jihan Johnson. "Our hearts are shattered. " Johnson notes that their mother died just 10 months ago. "We are asking for help — whether it's a donation, a share, or a prayer," Johnson said.
