Part of W. Main St. closing

NORWALK — Crews are closing part of Norwalk's West Main Street for several days starting today. The closure will intermittently affect the section of road just west of the North West and South West streets intersection. The city public works office provided additional information and a detour route for motorists: (On) Thursday, Oct. 2nd, W. Main Street will be closed just west of the Northwest St./ Southwest St. intersection for sanitary sewer repair between residents 211 to 218 W. Main St. Access to Northwest St and Southwest St will be open. Please use the following detour if you are heading east on W. Main St: left on Valley Park Drive, right on Jefferson Street to N. Garfield Street to W. Main Street. For west-bound traffic use N. Garfield Street to Jefferson Street to Valley Park Drive to W. Main Street. W. Main Street will be open to through traffic at the end of the workday and will be closed at 7 a.m. the following day. Work is expected to take two to three days.
