Election registration deadline approaching

The Huron County Board of Elections is reminding citizens of Huron County who are not already registered that they must register to vote or change their name or address by Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, in order to be eligible to vote in the Nov. 4, 2025 General Election. You are qualified to register to vote in Ohio if you meet all the following requirements: • You are a citizen of the United States. • You are eighteen years old or will be on or before the day of the November 4, 2025, General Election. • You will be a resident of Ohio at least thirty days before the election. • You are not serving a sentence in a prison for a felony. • You have not been declared incompetent for voting purposes by a probate court. • You have not been permanently disfranchised for violations of the election laws. The board office, located at 180 Milan Avenue in Norwalk, is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. In addition, the office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025. Voter registration forms are also available at the Norwalk License Bureau, Huron County Treasurer's office, Huron County Department of Job and Family Services, local libraries, at the board of elections website, huron.boe.ohio.gov and the Ohio Secretary of State website, sos.state.oh.us.
