Roll sushi, take on scavenger hunts at library

NORWALK — From sushi rolling and scavenger hunts to trivia competitions and tiny art, Norwalk Public Library is bringing a burst of creativity to the community this September. Here are some featured events: • Dangerous Toys of the 20th Century — From 5:30-7 p.m. on Sept. 3, explore the Yesteryear Funland Traveling Toy Museum and learn about toys pulled from shelves for safety concerns • Battle of the Books — From 9:30 a.m. to noon on Sept. 6, cheer on local students, between fourth and eighth grades, as they compete in a trivia contest based on popular books • Tiny Art Showcase — From 6-7 p.m. on Sept. 8, celebrate the finalists of the Tiny Art Contest with snacks and voting for the fan favorite; Judges include artist Heidi Hovestaedt, Mayor Dave Light and state Rep. Kellie Deeter. • Teen Cuisine: Sushi Skills — From 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Sept. 10 for students in grades six through 12, learn to roll sushi and master chopsticks • Living Well Expo: Resources for Every Stage — From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 20, connect with local organizations offering support for estate planning, Medicare and more People can visit norwalk.lib.oh.us or call 419-668-6063 for more information on event details and registration.
