2 named as scholarship recipients

The family of Kevin Zimmerman has selected two recipients for the Kevin Zimmerman Memorial 4-H Scholarship for 2025. The two recipients are Zurina Immel and Landon Stein and they each will receive $500. Zurina Immel is a graduate of Norwalk High School. She will be attending Ashland University. Zurina will be majoring in exercise science. Her goal is to become a physical therapist to work with athletes who are struggling with injuries and to help them recover so they can continueplaying sports. Zurina is a member of the Class Clovers 4-H Club and is currently in her 11th year of 4-H. Landon Stein is a graduate of Monroeville High School. He will be attending Ashland University. Landon will be majoring in business and plans to achieve a career centered around agriculture. Landon is a member of the Monroeville Fortune Finders 4-H Club. This year marks his 13th year as a 4-H member. Both Landon and Zurina stated that 4-H has taught them many life lessons. Linda Zimmerman, wife of Kevin, met on July 25 with Zurina Immel, Landon Stein and Haley Palmer, extension educator of the Ohio State University Extension. The scholarship certificates and scholarship money was presented to Zurina and Landon at this time. Through the Kevin Zimmerman Memorial 4-H Scholarship, Kevin's family continues to honor his many years of dedicated service as a 4-H advisor.
