A summer reading celebration

MONROEVILLE — The Monroeville Public Library is thrilled to announce exciting updates to its building and an invitation to the community to celebrate one of the most successful Summer Reading Programs in our history. Thanks to community support and ongoing dedication to making the library a welcoming space for all, we've recently completed several major improvements including brand-new flooring and doors that brighten and modernize our space. Norwalk Furniture donated a beautiful new seating arrangement. These upgrades reflect our commitment to creating an inviting environment where readers of all ages can learn, explore, and grow. But the excitement doesn't stop there. We're hosting a Summer Reading Celebration on Friday, Aug. 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Clark Park and everyone's invited. This family-friendly event is our way of saying thank you to our incredible community for making this year's Summer Reading Program our best year yet. Join us for: • A community car, motorcycle, and tractor show • A meet-and-greet with local author Dora Wilbur • Snacks & Kids' Activities "We're proud of what we've accomplished this year, and even prouder to celebrate with the families, kids, and community members who made it all possible," library director Jozi Heckel said. "This event is about honoring a great summer and looking ahead to all that's still to come at the Monroeville Public Library."
