How to retain your dragon

NORWALK — The Norwalk Public Library is asking people what it should do with the dragon head from its Fourth of July float. The float, which featured a large papier-mâché dragon, castle walls and other medieval-themed designs, appeared in last week's parade in Norwalk. The library served as the grand marshal of the parade. Now, those at the library want to know what people want them to do with the head of the dragon, named Reginald. "Shoutout to the Dragon Team, aka Gary (Murray), Julie (Billinghurst) and Justin (Brown) for making our float dreams a reality," the library posted on its Facebook page over the weekend. "Your hard work and long hours did not go unnoticed by the library or parade-goers." The library thanked the Norwalk Lions Club for letting them be grand marshal this year and prompted commenters to suggest what they should do with the dragon next. "What should we do with the head?" the library asked. "Add it to our Summer Reading prizes? Farewell StoryTime? Try to preserve it somewhere in the building?" People can leave comments on the library's Facebook post.
