Junior fair board meets

The Huron County Junior Fair Board met on June 26 in the Pickworth building at the Huron County Fairgrounds. Before the meeting started the board participated in some team building activities including a scavenger hunt and square dancing. The meeting was called to order by president Daniel Green. Roll call was for members to state their committees, working groups and the story behind their names. Secretary's minutes were read by Izzy Lucha. Treasurer's report was read by Riley Major. Old business is as follows: Alanah Purdy gave a report on the Buyers Dinner. Anna Whaley gave a report on the Huron County Youth Grant Making Council banquet. Daniel Green gave a report on his meeting with the Norwalk Rotary. The board then broke into their working groups to discuss details further. Working group reports are as follows: Team building group planned guess the song, karaoke and trivia for the bus ride for the board's fair field trip. Stock the Trailer group talked about their idea of selling T-shirts with all proceeds going towards food for stock the trailer. New business is as follows: The board discussed many Stock the Trailer updates including, the idea of having a competition between the clubs/FFA chapters, Battle of the Barns and Advertising. The board will be going on its fair field trip next month and will be visiting Summit and Lake counties. It was decided that the board would cover the costs of the polos and name tags for the members. The meeting was then adjourned.
