Strawberry Festival starts soon

NORWALK — An annual staple event returns this weekend. Coinciding with the Memorial Day Weekend, the Strawberry Festival will take place in Norwalk this Friday through Sunday in Uptown Norwalk. "Mark your calendars, grab your friends, and come soak in the strawberry vibes with us this weekend," a post from the Norwalk Area Vistor's Bureau states. The event, sponsored by the Norwalk Jaycees, features kids' activities, a 5K run, carnival rides, food trucks, live music, games and more. The festivities will force the closure of Main Street between the Milan Avenue/Woodlawn Avenue intersection and the Case Avenue/Church Street intersection. The closure begins at 5 p.m. today and will reopen Monday morning, and Main Street School and Norwalk Catholic will still be accessible for student pick-up and drop-off.
