Spouses new owners of salon

NORWALK — Christian Roberts Salon & Spa hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome the new owners — spouses Julie and Matt Murdock — of this longtime business in Norwalk. To celebrate, this past weekend, the Murdocks and workers welcomed customers inside where they could win raffle prizes and take part in various promotions. "Christian Roberts is celebrating 30 years of crafting beautiful styles and relaxing experiences in Norwalk, and we are so thankful for their continued business blessing our area," according to a statement from the Huron County Growth Partnership. Hearing from the owners Earlier this year, the Murdocks purchased and began operations at Christian Roberts. "Not only are we the new owners, but we are very close friends with the couple that started the business and ran it for 20-plus years: Matt and Lisa Herner," said Julie, noting they founded the business in 1996. With these new beginnings, Julie plans to honor Christian Roberts during this milestone year. "This year, the salon and spa will not only commemorate its rich history but also celebrate a new chapter, according to a joint statement from the Murdocks, who said they're "excited to continue the legacy of excellence and community engagement that has defined Christian Roberts Salon and Spa for (these) three decades." Even with the changes, customers can still expect Christian Roberts to continue offering its many services, which would include haircuts along with coloring, lash extensions, brow laminations, facials, manicures, pedicures, massages and more. Matt and Julie said they're "eager to welcome both longtime clients and new visitors to the celebration," the statement read.
