Tornadoes possible later today

Huron County will experience severe thunderstorms with the possibility of hail and tornadoes Wednesday and into early Thursday morning. Storms began Wednesday morning and are expected to continue through the late afternoon. "The main concern comes late tonight after 8 p.m.," the Huron County Emergency Management Agency posted online. "Heavy rainfall, damaging/destructive straight-line winds and tornadoes are possible, along with an isolated large hail threat." Most of Huron County is under an "enhanced risk" for severe weather today, according to a graphic released by the National Weather Service. 'Remain weather aware' The county emergency management agency stressed that residents make sure their mobile devices are charged and prepared for possible power outages. The agency stressed that people have multiple ways to get severe weather warnings, including the local TV weather forecast and the county's mobile alert system.
