Spring seedling and fish sale

HURON — Spring is coming, and with it is the annual Huron County Water Conservation District sale. The group announced yesterday their spring seedling and fish for pond stocking sale is underway. Seedlings are available on a first-come, first-serve basis while quantities last. Pick up will be on April 18 behind the office of Huron County Water Conservation District, 8 Fair Road. American Arborvitae, Norway Spruce, Tulip Poplar, Paw-Paw, American Redbud, White Walnut, White Oak, and Hybrid Poplar seedlings are available. Payment for prepaid orders can be made in cash or by check only. The fish for pond stocking prepaid order deadline is April 2, and pick up is at 12:30 p.m. on April 10 next to the conservation district's office building. Black crappies, Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Hybrid Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Perch, Fathead Minnows, Amur, Japanese Koi and Redear Sunfish are available, as well as pond conditioners.
