St. Paul falls to Crestview; NL win streak over

NORWALK — Visiting Crestview scored early and often in a 66-18 win over host St. Paul in a Firelands Conference girls basketball game Wednesday night inside Harvey Keller Gymnasium. With the loss, the Flyers fell to 2-14 overall and 1-8 in the FC. In the loss, Morgan Endsley scored seven points and Aubrie Bogard scored six. St. Paul returns to action on Saturday at home against first place New London (12-4, 9-0). Edison turned a 14-8 deficit after one quarter into a 26-21 halftime lead with an 18-7 scoring edge in the second quarter. Leading 36-30 through three quarters, the Chargers (8-8) then pulled away with a 21-point fourth quarter. For Edison, Ivy Kluding scored a game-high 21 points. Stella Brown had 16 points and Jorja Byington added eight points, while Ella Booth grabbed nine rebounds. For New London (12-4), Gracie Thomas scored 15 points, followed by Valery Henry with 10 and Pailee Wilson with eight. Edison is at rival Huron Friday night in SBC Bay Division play. JUNIOR HIGH NMS seventh grade falls Bellevue used a strong fourth quarter to outlast the Norwalk Middle School seventh-grade boys basketball team by a 42-31 score Wednesday. Blake Muskovich scored 21 to pace the Truckers (6-5). Reid Thomaspon added four points and Jacob Tyler scored three. Landon Waite had two points and Ryker Crumrine had one.
