It's the new Hampton Baking Co., Inc., plant being built on the Firelands Development Co. industrial park at Route 18 and Old State Road. The plant will bake buns for McDonald's Drive-In self-service restaurants in Ohio. Additional details about the company's operations were released this morning by the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce and the Firelands Development Co., after a joint announcement by McDonald's and Hampton. Willard policeman slips on ice, hurt WILLARD — Willard police department plagued with a strike — and a partially broken down cruiser — had some more bad luck Saturday when a veteran patrolman was injured. He is Chalres W. Lindsey, patrolman on duty from the midnight until 8 a.m. shift. While checking downtown stores, he slipped on ice at the corner of Pearl and Woodbine streets, breaking a bone in his right foot. Lindsey, who weighs almost 300 pounds, will be laid up for six or eight weeks.
