Ross aces hole for St. Paul at Willard Invite

WILLARD — The Huron boys golf team cruised to victory with a 345 score at the seven-team Willard boys golf Invitational at the Willard Golf Club. T.J. Murray was the tournament medalist for the Tigers with a 76. Clyde was runner-up to the Tigers with a 367. Host Willard was third with a 371 and were paced by Mason Dawson (86) and Adler Ames (89). Also for the Crimson Flashes, Jaxson Hall shot a 94, followed by Kaleb Weaver (102). St. Paul totaled a 376 to place fourth and were paced by a pair of 89s from Owen Romell and Nolan McCall. Gavin Thurston and Fletcher Ross each added 99s. Also for the Flyers, Ross hit a hole-in-one on the 175-yard hole 8. Braden Barman shot a 91 for Monroeville. Edison competes at Lakota FREMONT — Led by tournament medalist Keiygan Morris, the Margaretta boys golf team won the 16-team Lakota Invitational on Friday at Sycamore Hills golf club in Fremont. Morris led all golfers with a 33-35—68, which helped the Polar Bears finish 10 strokes ahead of runners-up Fremont Ross. Old Fort (346) was third and Otsego was fourth (347). Edison (393) was paced by Hayden Lewis with a 90. He was followed by Aaron Febbo (94), Owen Price (97) and Tyler Pounds (112). Weston Gfell added a 118. GIRLS GOLF Bedingfield cards a 45 at Bay Shootout VERMILION — Margaretta shot a 200 to win the SBC Bay Shootout at Willow Creek. Huron finished second in the team competition with a 211, followed by Vermilion (234), Willard (246) and Port Clinton (281). For the Flashes, Reese Bedingfield led the team with a 45.
