NORWALK - Filming for a new original horror movie will take place at the Starview Drive-In next week. Good Deed Entertainment, an Ohio-based independent studio, through its genre-focused label Cranked Up Films, will be filming scenes for their second season of Nightmare Transmissions. Headquartered in Ashland since 2018, Cranked Up Films focuses on high-concept horror, thrillers, grounded science fiction and speculative fiction. The team aims to create and distribute content that tells unique stories in thought-provoking ways. The production team is currently filming for Blood and Rust, a film that explores themes of decay and renewal in a small town ravaged by vampiric forces, symbolizing economic and social exploitation. The film follows Lamont and Belko, unlikely allies who find purpose and redemption in their fight against an ancient evil adapted to modern times. Their journey highlights the healing power of connections and the resilience needed to combat systemic decay. It's not yet confirmed if filming at the drive-in will take place on Sunday or Monday.
