The Main Street Diner of Norwalk is for sale

The Main Street Diner in Norwalk is for sale and the owner says they will shut the doors April 1 if no buyer is found. The restaurant's owner posted on Facebook the business is for sale for $15,000, but the new owner would also have to work out a new lease with the owner of the building. "No we can not take payments and we will not discuss anything online," the owner wrote. "If you are interested stop in." The restaurant's owner also said the building and some inside equipment also belongs to the building's owner. "The Diner is profitable as it is ran by owner/operators, no sales info will be given without a non disclosure and proof of funds," the restaurant owner said. The restaurant owner also said either sale or closure is imminent. "This will be our last lent before we sell/close on 04/01/2024," the owner wrote. News of the closure upset some regular customers. "I can't believe you guys are selling / closing," wrote Rod N Talanda Handshoe. "We really don't eat out at restaurants very often, but when we did you were on the short list of places we would order from." The restaurant owner replied, "I apologize, it's just getting to be too hard for us you know like I had posted earlier I work a full-time job in Mentor Ohio 5 days a week and then I come out there on the weekend with Steve two days so I'm working 7 days a week straight and then he's got to fill in when people call off you know he's there from the time we open to the time we close and it's it's just so hard so we just we need to take a break and just kind of Step Back From the restaurant business it's hard I'm not going to lie it's very hard." The owner could not be reached for comment on Thursday.
