S.C., Monroeville pick up FC wins

GREENWICH — The South Central girls basketball team steadily outscored visiting Western Reserve to come away with a 49-34 win on Saturday in a Firelands Conference game. With the win, the Trojans improved to 12-4 overall and 9-1 in the FC, which remains one game behind New London (12-4, 10-0) atop the conference standings. Kendyl Beverly scored 20 points for the Trojans, who also got 12 point from Angela Williams in the win. Joslin Cain scored 14 points and Brooklyn Prince had 12 for Western, which fell to 3-11 overall and 3-7 in the FC.
