Gonzales the right man for Norwalk City Schools

As a regular guest columnist for the Norwalk Reflector with featured travelogues that I write about the numerous world travels that I take from year to year, I now want to deviate from that line and write about something other than my travels, that being an endorsement for my good friend Eric Gonzales, who is currently running for re-election for the Norwalk School Board. I have known Eric ever since I moved back to Norwalk in 2015 and began attending church services with him and his wife Desiree at The Chapel that year. In the past year, I have gotten to know Eric very well and believe that Eric should be re-elected to the Norwalk School Board for a number of reasons, with some of these reasons listed below: • Because he is passionate about Norwalk, about Norwalk City Schools and has two children who attend Norwalk City Schools. • Eric works with many middle and high school students at The Chapel and prays for the Norwalk High School football team before each and every game. • He knows and has an excellent relationship with many students and their parents and is very well respected by them. • He is very much in favor of building the new schools on the currently undeveloped property that is located directly across from Norwalk High School. • He is fair, honest, moderate in his views, has no hidden agenda and truly wants to help improve Norwalk City Schools for the benefit of all students, their parents, teachers, staff and administrators. • He is a proud Norwalk High School graduate, respectfully graduating in 2001, the very last class to graduate from the old Norwalk High School on East Main Street. As a resident of Norwalk who is proud to say that I spent my entire K-12 years attending Norwalk City Schools and who continues to serve Norwalk City Schools by serving as a regular substitute teacher at Norwalk High School since 2016, I sincerely and whole heartedly endorse Eric Gonzales to be re-elected to the Norwalk School Board and encourage you all to vote for Eric this coming November.
