'33 Ford helps attract business

MILAN — Milan resident Casey Dellisanti loves his 1933 Ford pickup truck. You can see the truck often if you drive around Milan. Dellisanti said he got the vehicle "a couple of years ago." He didn't pay cash for the truck; he traded a '72 Nova for it. "I've always wanted a '33 or a '34," Dellisanti said of his Ford. The truck has a rare, original flathead V-8 engine in it, which is hard to come by and makes it more valuable, he said. "It makes it more desirable than a four-cylinder," Dellisanti said. Unlike other people who buy and restore antique vehicles, he said when he got the car it was in its current condition and didn't need any work. "I bought it just like that," Dellisanti says, pointing to the pickup. "I'm only the third owner of the truck." The truck has 34,000 original miles on it. He drives the truck only once in a while. He loves to drive it around Milan. Primarily he uses the truck to advertise his business, Ohio Tree & Excavating. He put his business logo on the side of the truck and said he has gotten some business from people who have seen the logo. "People like to look at it and it fits in really well in this town," Dellisanti said. He said the vehicle is worth about $40,000.
