TBH Foundation Presents Awards to Top Femaleand Male Athletes at Bellevue High School

BELLEVUE — The Bellevue Hospital Foundation (TBHF) recently presented awards to the top female and male athletes at Bellevue High School. Formerly known as the Gazette Awards, the trophies have been sponsored and presented by TBHF since 2017. TBHF Director Dennis Sabo recently presented the trophies to seniors Dominique Weisz and Tyler Ray after a vote of coaches and administrators at the high school. Weisz earned seven varsity letters during high school, including four in cross country, two in basketball and one in track & field. She is the daughter of John and Flo Weisz. Ray earned 10 varsity letters during high school — three in football, four in basketball, and three in baseball. He is the son of Mel and Jer Ray. "The Bellevue Hospital Foundation is proud to sponsor these trophies," Sabo said. "The entire family of The Bellevue Hospital congratulates both Ray and Weisz for their accomplishments both on the athletic fields and in the classroom, and wish them both continued success at the collegiate level." Weisz plans on continuing her education at Ursuline College where she will major in exercise science. Ray plans on attending Bowling Green State University and majoring in business. The male Gazette Award has been presented annually since 1951, the female award since 1976.
