Tractor Supply paper clover event runs through May 7

NORWALK — The spring campaign at Tractor Supply to benefit local 4-H will run through May 7. For this campaign, 80% will go back to the county of the store of where it was sold. There two Tractor Supply Locations in Huron County — Willard, and Norwalk. So, 80% of the paper clovers sold in Willard and Norwalk come directly to our 4-H program. "This money has made a tremendous impact to our 4-H program," said Haley Palmer, Extension Educator, 4-H Youth Development. "Last year, I was able to grant 7 4-H Camp Scholarships out of these funds to those who otherwise wouldn't have been able to attend camp. "We also use the money for other various leadership programs in the county. If you are not familiar with this partnership, you can read about it on their website. You can also find how these funds have benefited other youth." Poultry workshop in Willard WILLARD — Always wanted to learn more about chickens and other poultry? Here's your chance. Tractor Supply Co. in Willard is hosting an event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 13 to teach you about the care of poultry, the different breeds, eggs vs. meat, biosecurity and more. The event it being hosted by the Huron County Go-Getters 4-H Club.
