Gofund me account set for former Norwalk resident

NORWALK — A former Norwalk resident is in the Cleveland Clinic after suffering a heart attack. Michael Barker says he and his wife, Ashley, 32, who recently moved to Fremont, were laying in bed when his wife fell ill and fell off the bed. "On Wednesday morning she had been sleeping and she sits up randomy and says 'something's wrong.' The next thing that happened is she fell on the floor and was pretty much incoherent, staring off into space," he said. Michael then called 9-1-1 and his wife was taken to a hospital in Toledo. From there, Ashley was taken by helicopter to the Cleveland Clinic, where she currently is. "They still haven't figured out what's going on," said Michael, adding that his wife's heart was only operating at 15 percent and she could need a heart transplant. Michael and his wife both worked full-time jobs, but with his wife in the hospital and four kids to support, family friends have set up a gofundme.com page to help pay bills and medical expenses. "The only thing I'm really stressing about right now is my gas, electric and then the rent," Michael says. Currently the gofundme.com page has collected $320; it's goal is $5,000.
