Would you like to participate on our team?

As I have mentioned before, March year after year is one of my favorite times of the year. Mainly it is because I love NCAA basketball and the March to the Final Four. However, it is also a time of spiritual reflection and perseverance for us at the Norwalk Area United Fund. This is the time of year when we are busy. Applications are out for local 501(C)3 to complete to request funding in 2024. We are planning our annual dinner and auction for the community to participate and support us. We continue to plan and work to enhance the lives throughout our community by addressing needs and potential factors of risk. Our budget and admissions team is preparing to vet each agency who request funding in 2024. This ensures our donor dollars reach maximum outreach to enhance lives in throughout our community. Our board is also reviewing quotes to repair/replace our roof. During the recent rain and wind storm we suffered some water intrusion into our building. Our campaign is still marching to goal. Currently we are at 87% of goal at $433,872.44. We thank each of you who have been part of our 2023 team. Our team needs to continue to grow. If you know any friends, neighbors or co-workers please invite them to participate on our team. Every neighbor will be enriched by their performance to the the team. Many needs continue to surface in which a plan needs to be developed and executed. Let's come together to find results and outlets to serve. If you personally are able to donate just a bit more it would be greatly appreciated to get us to goal. We have added a new staff member to assist with our social media and donor database management. Janice Fisher has joined our office team on a part-time basis. Her dynamic personality is sure to spark new ideas and vision. She lives in Norwalk with her husband Joe and both of their adult children reside here with their spouses. Janice is ready to serve and share her many talents with us. Thank you for supporting our team at the Norwalk Area United Fund. Each donor leads us on to victory and ultimately goal achievement. Lives are touched by your participation on our team. Our team remains strong thanks in part to your generosity. We look forward to seeing many of you at our annual dinner. Our event committee has added a few new activities to enjoy at this year's event. We are sure the evening will be enjoyable. The Great Stampede The Annual Dinner and Auction will be held Thursday, March 23, Bronson-Norwalk Conservation Club, 295 Townline Road 151 in Norwalk.
