Police: Man arrested after stabbing in Bellevue

BELLEVUE — A man is in custody after a Monday morning assault in Bellevue. At approximately 11:37 a.m., Bellevue police received a call for a possible assault in the 600 block of E. Center St. When officers arrived, they were led to a bedroom in the upstairs apartment where they found a man suffering from an apparent knife wound to the neck, according to Bellevue Det. Sgt. Todd Trego. The man was transported by North Central EMS to Fisher Titus Medical Center for treatment. Police identified Jamie Lee Trimmer, 43, as the suspect. Trimmer was not at the residence when police arrived. Trimmer was later found in Ontario, Ohio near Mansfield and taken into custody. He has been transferred to the Huron County Jail. He is charged with two counts of felonious assault and is being detained under a no-bond order, according to Trego. The victim's last known status was recovering after surgery, Trego said. Trimmer is scheduled to be arraigned in Bellevue Municipal Court Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
