Willard's Lykins is first team All-Bay

Willard sophomore hitter Kelsey Lykins earned a spot on the All-SBC Bay Division volleyball first team, the league announced on Tuesday. Teammates Cassidy Hamons and Syana Sivongsak earned second team for the Crimson Flashes, who finished 16-8 overall and 8-2 in the league. Lykins finished with 299 kills and 59 blocks at the net, and also served 121 points with 28 aces and added 216 digs. Both seniors, Hamons finished with 584 assists, 220 digs and 175 points with 41 aces. Sivongsak had 304 digs on defense. Willard was eliminated by Division III No. 2-ranked Huron (22-2) in a district semifinal on Monday. It was also the only two league losses for the Flashes, who also put junior hitter Makinley Schaffer (175 kills) on the honorable mention team. Edison sophomore Jorja Byington (101 kills) was also an honorable mention selection for the Chargers.
