Local students earn scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University

BEREA — Students from this area were among more than 600 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall who earned more than $11 million in scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements. The following local students earned scholarships: Remington Bauer, of Norwalk, a graduate of Edison High School majoring in pre-allied health/pre-physical therapy, earned a $21,000 President's Scholarship. Mason Bova, of Bellevue, a graduate of Bellevue High School majoring in finance, earned a $17,000 Deans' Scholarship. Allison Damm, of Attica, a graduate of Columbian High School majoring in psychology, earned a $21,000 President's Scholarship. Ellen Fox, of Willard, a graduate of Willard High School majoring in nursing, earned a $21,000 President's Scholarship. Kelsey McCoy, of Plymouth, a graduate of Plymouth High School majoring in nursing, earned a $21,000 President's Scholarship. Sophia Ott, of Norwalk, a graduate of Norwalk High School majoring in neuroscience, earned a $19,000 Trustees' Scholarship. BW's merit scholarships are awarded to full-time students and are renewable up to four years with good academic and social standing. BW offers a wide range of financial support to its students — more than $52 million for the 2022-2023 academic year.
