NORWALK — From the Huron County Common Pleas Court: Sept. 13, 2022 Willard Manuel, Jr., 47, pleaded guilty to one count of F-4 attempted tampering with evidence in exchange for dismissal of one count of F-5 possessing criminal tools. He also admitted to violations of community control in a previous case. Judge James Conway revoked Mr. Manuel's community control and he was sentenced to twelve months in ODRC on the revocation, and twelve months in ODRC on the new charge. The sentences shall be served consecutively. Mr. Manuel was remanded to the custody of the sheriff. Philip R. Bertram, 38, pleaded guilty to one count of F-3 aggravated trafficking in drugs, 2 counts of F-5 possession of drugs, and one count of F-4 trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound in exchange for dismissal of one count of F-4 trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, one count of F-2 aggravated trafficking in drugs and one count of F-5 selling, purchasing, distributing, or delivering dangerous drugs. Judge Conway sentenced Mr. Bertram to four years and eleven months in ODRC, with forfeiture of property and $2,845 US currency, and reimbursement in the amount of $300. Mr. Bertram was remanded to the custody of the sheriff. Brittain A. Johnson, 27, pleaded guilty to one count of F-4 trafficking in fentanyl-related compound, one count of M-1 domestic violence, and one count of F-4 failure to appear as required by recognizance in exchange for dismissal of one count of F-4 possession of a fentanyl-related compound, one count of F-5 possessing criminal tools, one count of M-1 domestic violence, and one count of M-4 domestic violence. Judge Conway sentenced Mr. Johnson to twelve months in ODRC. Mr. Johnson was remanded to the custody of the sheriff. Jeffrey A. White, 30, pleaded guilty to one count of F-5 aggravated possession of Drugs – Methamphetamine. Judge Conway sentenced Mr. White to three years of community control, with 90 days in the Huron County Jail to be served at times to be established by the Huron County Adult Probation Department, OR in the alternative, house arrest with electronic monitoring to be determined by the Huron County Adult Probation Department, at Defendant's cost. Mr. White was ordered to report to adult probation. Victor L. Sanchez, 31, pleaded guilty to one count of F-2 felonious assault and one count of F-3 failure to comply with order or signal of police officer and was sentenced to a indefinite sentence of five years in ODRC, with a maximum of seven and ½ years. Mr. Sanchez was remanded to the custody of the sheriff.
