Bellevue Public Library launches Magic the Gathering Wednesday

BELLEVUE — Summer has arrived at the Bellevue Library. The annual Summer Reading Program kicked off Monday and this year's theme is "Oceans of Possibilities." On Wednesday, the library is launching its latest club, Magic the Gathering at 6 p.m. Bring your cards and make new friends. On Tuesday, June 21, the Childrens' Department will explore lighthouses. Learn about lighthouses and the ocean. Build your own lighthouse out of recyclables. Ages 8+. Registration is required. Please visit the Childrens' Department or call 419-483-0422 to register. And on Thursday, June 23rd, kids are invited to an Ocean Slime Lab. Learn cool facts about our underwater friends and make some ocean slime, too. All ages welcome. Registration required. On June 30 at 6 p.m., join in for a special concert from the Lake Erie Winds clarinet ensemble. Lake Erie Winds (LEW) is a quartet of clarinetists from across northern Ohio. LEW's repertoire contains a range of styles including light classics, jazz, ragtime, polka, popular, and more — with something sure to please everyone. The Library will be closed on Sundays beginning in June and will resume Sunday hours in the fall. Library hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
