Lisa Whaley gets new position with credit union

BELLEVUE — Firelands Federal Credit Union welcomes Lisa Whaley as assistant vice president (AVP) Norwalk Market. Whaley assumes her new position with more than 33 years of customer and member support experience and 15 years with Firelands FCU. Starting her journey as a part-time teller at Firelands FCU's Bellevue branch in 2007, Whaley quickly advanced to full-time teller/member service representative and joined the Monroeville branch as a loan officer a few years later. In 2014, she returned to Bellevue as head teller and served in that position for seven years before her most recent promotion to AVP Norwalk Market. Whaley now provides oversight to all operations within the Norwalk market. "I am grateful to start a new chapter here at the credit union," Whaley said. "I look forward to building relationships with our Norwalk members as I complete this transition." In addition to Whaley's leadership experience within the credit union, her ambitious personality made her the best choice for the open role, said Brett Montague, Firelands FCU's president/CEO. "Lisa has proven her abilities time and time again," Montague said. "We have no doubt she will excel in leading our Norwalk branch with passion, kindness and dependability."
