Donald Trump coming back to Ohio

CLEVELAND — Former President Donald Trump, a Republican, will hold April 23 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds, his first trip to the state since last summer. Trump is slated to speak at 7 p.m., with about three hours of speakers before him beginning at 4 p.m. The upcoming visit marks Trump's first stop in the state since a massive outdoor rally at the Lorain County Fairgrounds last year, billed as a campaign bump for Rocky River congressional candidate Max Miller in his primary against Rocky River Rep. Anthony Gonzalez. Gonzalez, one of 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Trump, later dropped out of the race. While Trump's physical presence hasn't been felt in Ohio, his political presence has been undeniable in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate. The crowded race has mostly featured multiple candidates trying to present themselves as the closest to Trump. However, the former president has refrained from making an endorsement, though has said in interviews with several media outlets he intends to make his preference known before the May 3 primary in which early voting has already commenced.
