NORWALK — March events at the Norwalk Public Library: Lego Day on March 1st at 4:30 pm: Compete for the title of best Lego builder in a fun challenge, then use your imagination to build freely. For ages 5-12. Registration is not required. Adult Craft Day on March 2nd at 11:00 am: Spice up your kitchen decor with metal stamping projects. Free refreshments. Registration begins on Wednesday, February 9. StoryTime on March 3rd, March 10th, March 17th, March 24th, and March 31st at 11:00 am: Explore picture books, educational activities, and small crafts. For ages 0-5. Registration is not required. Girls Engineering and Making Stuff on March 5th at 10 am, March 15th at 4:30 pm, and March 21st at 4:30 pm: Learn codebreaking with book ciphers and lemon invisible ink, experiment with chemical reactions via lemon volcanoes and bath bombs, and explore gravity and density by engineering a boat. For 2nd through 5th grades. Registration begins three weeks before the scheduled program. STEM Night on March 7th at 4:30 pm: Build cardboard mazes for hexbugs to race through. The most successful and creative mazes win a prize. For 3rd through 5th grades. Registration begins on Monday, February 14th. Book Bites on March 8th at 5:30 pm: Discuss your most recent read and get a sneak peek at new fiction and nonfiction titles before they hit our shelves. Free refreshments. Registration is not required. Kids Craft Night on March 8th at 5:30 pm: Paint a picture frame using precut stencils or your own imagination. For ages 5-12. Registration begins on Tuesday, February 15th. Teen Time on March 9th and March 23rd at 3:00 pm: Bring your friends and unwind after school with snacks and games. For 6th through 9th grades. Registration is not required. Music & Movement on March 11th and March 25th at 11:00 am: Shake, shimmy, spin, and twirl with us. Through song and dance, kids are encouraged to get silly and let that excess energy out. For ages 2-5. Registration is not required. Teen Craft on March 16th at 3:00 pm: Practice paint pouring with acrylics and Elmer's glue. For 6th through 9th grades. Registration begins on Wednesday, February 23rd. Dungeons & Dragons Club on March 19th at 11:00 am: Design a unique character and embark on an epic quest with fellow adventurers. No experience necessary. For 6th through 12th grades. Registration begins on Saturday, February 26th. Adult Craft Night on March 28th at 6:00 pm: Make alcohol inks with Sharpies and test them on various materials. Registration begins on Monday, March 7th. What is... the Best Book Club Ever on March 29th at 4:30 pm: To participate in the discussion and Jeopardy-style trivia contest, please read The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, Instructions by Neil Gaiman, and Leo by Mac Barnett. Books are available in the Children's Room. For 4th through 8th grades. Registration begins on Tuesday, March 8th.
