Fisher-Titus and BeStrong Learning Center offering free STNA classes

NORWALK — Fisher-Titus is once again partnering with BeStrong Learning Center in Norwalk to offer free classes for those interested in becoming a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA). Participants who complete the program will have a job as an STNA waiting for them at Fisher-Titus. STNAs work in various areas of patient care alongside nursing staff, physicians, and other hospital departments to provide care for patients. They perform clerical duties as well as patient care activities including safely transporting patients, bathing, obtaining vital signs, and more. Classes will run from Jan. 10 to Jan. 21 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at BeStrong Learning Center at 26 Whittlesey Ave. in Norwalk. To apply for the program, visit FisherTitus.org/careers and apply for the "hospitality aide" position. Applicants will go through an interview process prior to being selected for the program. If selected, classes will be free including tuition, fees, books, state testing, CPR, and first aid.
